Your Dog will Love the Cottage


With walks in all directions from the cottage your dog will love the space and freedom at the cottage. You can walk your dog straight down to the coast and along the coast path to watch the seals. Or go straight up the mountain and enjoy the views across Anglesey, North Wales and even over to Ireland on a clear day. 

   
         
         
 

This is a good sized cottage that comfortably sleeps six. With such a location it is great for walking and for anyone with dogs it is just perfect as you can walk in all directions straight from the cottage.


It is the perfect holiday cottage to un-wind and contemplate the peace and quiet, or to enjoy activities in your own time. The cottage is perfectly placed for walking as it is on the coast path. It is situated on Anglesey in a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.


Take your dog on holiday with you and you will both get fitter whether running up the mountain or just strolling along the beach you can feel the stress melting away. Forget expensive kennel fees and take your dog for a swim in the sea instead.


At South Stack Cottage you don't have to take your dog everywhere with you. Once have finished your adventures on the mountainside or on the beach you can leave your dog safely at the property as long as they are comfortable being on their own.

Dogs and Pets

You will notice the extra toning on your dog as the exercise they get on these walks is quite strenuous. Dogs can be left securely in the house as long as they are used to being left alone.  

Beaches Allowing Dogs


We were surprised to discover that most of the beaches allow dogs all year round. The exception is Porth Dafach which is one of the closest beaches to the cottage and one of the smallest. Treardurr Bay has summer restrictions or dogs but they are allowed on half of the beach. But don't restrict your walking to the official beaches. Most of Angleseys coastline is walkable and it is great fun to climb the rocks and jump the gulleys as you work your way round the coast. For anyone interested in geology the best rocks are found at Rhosneigr and the longest sandy beaches at Llanddwyn near Newborough and if you go don't miss the forest there.

Dog Walks

Forget meeting those snappy or aggressive dogs the walks are undisturbed in the area. You may see occasional other dogs and walkers while you are out, particularly in the summer. But to a large extent the mountain, the inland walks and the coastal path are undisturbed havens. Forget the queues of walkers and stressed dogs on leads in other areas.
